How do I get from the airport to the resort?
Our travel agency has arranged private transportation from a trusted and reliable transportation company. You must select “Add Roundtrip Airport Transportation.”during step “4. Additional Services” of booking your room. Feel free to reach out to Jenna or Payton if you have any questions about this.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! There are two sides to the resort, family friendly and adults-only. They are right next to each other and all events will be family friendly (except for After Party).
However, for those of you with young kids, feel free to use this as an excuse to go kid-free for a bit. Everyone deserves a break :)
What is the dress code?
Think beachy cocktail—put together, but relaxed. We want you to feel comfortable and like yourself, so wear something that feels good and fits the beachy vibe. Don’t worry too much about it.
We will be in the sand for the reception so keep that in mind when thinking about shoes.
Will the wedding be on the beach?
The ceremony will be on a wooden bridge but the reception will be fully on the beach.
Do I have a plus one? Who from my family is invited?
Your invitation should clearly state who is invited. If there is any confusion, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Payton or Jenna.
When should I arrive and depart?
This is up to your own discretion. The resort has a 3 night minimum but besides that, the world is your oyster! We recommend arriving on 2/4 or 2/5 and departing whenever you best see fit.
Which side of the resort should I stay on?
We recommend staying on the La Perla (Adults Only) side of the resort—unless you are traveling with little ones. Please note: both sides, Paradisus La Perla and Paradisus Playa del Carmen, are right next to each other and it will be very easy to go from one side to the other.
Is it safe to travel to Playa del Carmen?
Yes! Playa del Carmen is one of the more popular and tourist-friendly destinations in Mexico. Our resort, Paradisus Playa del Carmen, is located in a secure gated community with 24/7 security and a private beach.
If you choose to explore outside the resort, just use the same common sense you would when traveling anywhere—stick to well-lit areas, don’t walk alone at night, and keep an eye on your belongings. If you have more questions specifically about traveling to Mexico, please see our Travel Tips page.
If you still have questions or need further clarification, reach out to Kari Sweeney (Jenna’s mom), at 360-620-7567.
