When is the best time to book my flight?

Fly into the Cancun airport. If you are flying from Seattle, Boston, or Los Angeles, the best time to book a flight for February 2027, is between August - October 2026.

How do I get from the airport to the resort?

Our travel agency has arranged private transportation from a trusted and reliable transportation company. You must select XXXXXXXX during step XXXXX of booking your room. Feel free to reach out to Jenna or Payton if you have any questions about this.

Should I bring cash to Mexico?

Yes, it is recommened to bring cash. You can exchange your USD for MXD at the airport. If you forget to bring cash or exchange it, there is an ATM at the resort and the front desk can exchange your USD for MXD.

Any tips for navigating the Cancun airport?

In our expereince, the Cancun airport is not as intimidating as the internet makes it seem. You may be randomly selected to have your bag searched (as we were) but it takes no more than 5 minutes. When exiting customs and walking toward transportation, don’t engage with any of the sales reps. Same goes for once you are out in the transportation area. Your transportation has already been coordinated so follow the directions given regarding transportation and don’t entertain any of the solicitors.

When should I arrive and depart?

This is up to your own discretion. The resort has a 3 night minimum but besides that, the world is your oyster! We recommend arriving on 2/4 or 2/5 and departing whenever you best see fit.

Is it save to travel to Playa del Carmen?

Yes! Playa del Carmen is one of the more popular and tourist-friendly destinations in Mexico. Our resort, Paradisus Playa del Carmen, is located in a secure gated community with 24/7 security and a private beach.

If you choose to explore outside the resort, just use the same common sense you would when traveling anywhere—stick to well-lit areas, don’t walk alone at night, and keep an eye on your belongings.
